About the group
Al-Abed Group is a Libyan-registered family holding company headquartered in Tripoli, with operational reach spanning trade, agriculture, real estate, investment, brand management, and retail. Each subsidiary is independently managed and collectively strengthened by shared values and a unified family vision.
Our foundation is the Al-Abed family's long-standing presence in the Libyan market — a heritage of commerce, land, and community that informs everything we build. We take a long view, investing in assets and businesses that compound across generations.
Every decision is made with the family name behind it. Integrity and reputation are non-negotiable.
We plant olive trees. We build for the generation after next, not the next quarter.
Deep market knowledge, community relationships, and pride in what Libya can produce and offer the world.
Malta-based operations and established EU supply relationships give us a natural bridge between two markets.

Al-Abed Group holds exclusive distribution rights in Libya for Tastees — the iconic Maltese snack brand internationally known as Twistees. We also source and import a curated range of European confectionery and snacks, including leading chocolate brands from the Netherlands and Belgium. Products are consolidated through our Malta transit hub before distribution across the Libyan market, ensuring quality control and supply chain reliability.

The Al-Abed family farm near Tripoli is home to a mature olive grove — the largest single asset in our agricultural portfolio — alongside cultivated fruit orchards and seasonal vegetables. As the trees reach full maturity, we are developing our own premium olive oil brand and a raw honey label, both launching soon under the Al-Abed name.

The group holds significant land assets across Tripoli and coastal Libya, including beach houses, agricultural land, and plots designated for residential and commercial construction. Our real estate holdings represent two distinct sites with long-term development potential in some of Libya's most desirable locations.

Operating out of Malta, our brand and marketing arm provides social media management, digital identity, and community-building services to hospitality and fast-food businesses. We manage the full digital presence of our clients — from content creation to platform growth — delivering measurable results for restaurants and F&B brands across the region.

Little Noor is our boutique retail brand specialising in children's and occasion wear for events and celebrations. We source and import clothing lines, bringing quality European fashion to the Libyan consumer market. The brand reflects our belief that style and occasion deserve to be celebrated.
Libya06
Al-Abed Group actively manages investment positions in Libyan dinar and US dollar — preserving and growing family capital through disciplined currency and asset allocation. Our investment arm supports the broader group's financial resilience and provides a foundation for future acquisitions and expansion across new sectors.

The next generation of Al-Abed consumer products is in development: a farm-to-bottle premium olive oil brand, a raw Libyan honey label, and a poultry operation scaling toward commercial capacity focused on chick sales and live bird supply. These brands are built on assets the family already owns — giving them authentic provenance from day one.
